12 volt LED Festoon bulbs
12 volt LED Festoon bulbs are a great way to reduce power draw on clearance lights and interior lighting for your caravan, motorhome or 5th wheeler. Making the switch to LED lighting is easy simply remove the existing Festoon bulb and replace it with the appropriate LED Festoon.
Installation:
To install an LED Festoon, remove the existing 12v bulb identify its wattage and size, and replace it with the appropriate LED bulb. The 6x1 LED Festoon best replaces 5-10w, the 6x3 LED Festoon best replaces 15-20w bulbs. The brightest option is the 6x3 LED Festoon. If the Festoon bulb fails to light after installation, install in opposite direction. LEDs are polarity sensitive and will simply not turn on if the polarity is not correct. No damage will be caused by incorrect polarity.
What LED Festoon should I choose?
Choosing the correct LED festoon will depend on what level of light is required. The 6x1 LED Festoons, are suitable for a lower level of light such as a clearance light. The 6x3 is suitable for general illumination and interior lighting. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

To choose the correct bulb for your installation please remove your existing 12v bulb and identify its base type. It should either have one or two contact points and either parallel or offset pins. On the base of the bulb it may also indicate what wattage your bulb is. If you would like to speak with our friendly and helpful staff please contact us.
What do I do if I choose the wrong bulb?
If you end up choosing the wrong bulb for your installation you can choose between a refund, exchange or credit. The Bulb does not turn on what do I do?
LED lights work differently than traditional incandescent lighting and are polarity sensitive try turning the bulb around and re-installing. If the 12v LED does not light after this please contact us.
How are LEDs so efficient?
LED lights maximise efficiency by converting most of the electrical energy used into light and not heat, approximately 20% of electricity is lost through heat. Traditional lighting is the reverse, vast amounts electrical energy consumed is emitted as heat rather than light, approximately 80% of electricity is lost through heat.
What is the difference between Warm White and Cool White?
Warm white is suitable for living areas and emits similar light to that of a traditional bulb, a "warmish" kind of light. Warm white is often used in living areas where a warm relaxing atmosphere is desired. Cool White would be best suited for task areas such as the kitchen. Do you sell any LED lights for 24v systems?
Yes, we sell a range of strip lights, and down lights that can be installed into a 24v system. Currently only 12v LED lights are available for retro fit bulbs if bulk quantities are equired please contact us.
